Creating Staff Members in Garson.Pro
Welcome to Garson.Pro. In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to create staff user accounts, assign roles and permissions, and control how staff interact with orders and customers.
Start by opening the staff management section in the portal.
[Open Portal → Users / Staff]
You’ll see a list of existing users.
To add a new staff member, click Create in the top-left corner.
[Click Create — top left]
At the top of the form, you can upload a profile photo.
The staff photo and name are visible not only to the team, but also to customers in the mobile menu header.
This helps guests know who is serving them.
[Click Create under Profile Image]
Now enter the basic profile details.
Start with the staff member’s First Name and Last Name.
These are shown to customers, on orders, and in staff lists.
[Enter First Name and Last Name]
Next, add a Phone number.
This is optional, but recommended for account recovery and notifications.
It can also be filled in later by the user.
[Enter Phone]
Then enter the Email address.
This email is used for login and system notifications.
[Enter Email]
Select the staff member’s Language.
This defines the default language of the portal and staff mobile interface.
[Select Language]
Optionally, choose a Theme.
Theme selection affects the portal interface only and does not change the customer menu.
[Select Theme]
Next, assign User roles.
Roles define what the staff member is allowed to do.
- Manager has full access and includes all waiter permissions. A manager can also act as a waiter.
- Waiter focuses on orders, service requests, and customer interaction.
You can assign one or both roles if needed.
[Select Manager or Waiter roles]
Now set a Password for the account.
The staff member will use this password to sign in.
Confirm it to complete the setup.
[Enter Password → Confirm password]
Once all fields are filled in, save the user.
[Click Create]
The staff account is now active.
On their mobile devices, staff will: - See all locations in the business. - See their assigned or most relevant locations at the top. - View and manage orders and service requests based on their role.
This gives the whole team a shared operational view, while still prioritizing the areas they are responsible for.
You can update roles, profile details, or access settings at any time without deleting the user.
